The proteas teach the OZs their age old LESSON

Well the first match of the CB series between AUSTRALIA & SOUTH AFRICA was nothing short of one more nail biting finish that is becoming rare now a days in the 50 over format of the game after the all the attraction was carried away by one of the shortest formats of the very same game.

Here's a small recap of how the crown is being taken away from the OZs . After winnnig the toss , the aussies elected to bat , inspite of losing one of Aussie's finest opener who can make the opponents run for their new innovations , HAYDOS aka MATHEW HAYDEN , the aussies were about to find a new opening pair in the new HUSSEY & MARSH combo . Hussey fell early proving his captain wrong , still Punter managed to put on a 98 run partnership stand with Shaun Marsh .
Clarke was not able to withstand the SA attack , but the new man D.Hussey was damn confident about all his strokes and had scored a 52 run at slightly more than run a ball . None of the other Aussie batsmen utilised the pitch to the full extent . It was a gr8 apell on the other hand by J.Kallis , who inspite of being wicketless , had given away only 35 runs . Each A.Morkel & Steyn had taken 2 wickets each . A.Morkel even had a run out to his credit as a result of his quick arm.
Thus , SA were able to restrict AUS to 271/8 in 50 overs.
When the SA team came out to bat , in the absence of Smith & with the recalled Gibbs , who's in the side to prove his worth once again , Hilfenhaus had picked up Amla in his 2nd ball.Nothing seemed to fill the void exactly for them after they had lost even GIBBS, a decent knock from KAllis saved the drowning SA team . Then came the partnership between Mckenzie and Duminy , that showed the Aussies what they were lacking and what made the proteas stand out from the rest . It was as if seein a movie directed by Mani Ratnam , starring Super Star and MADAME TRISHA with A.R.Rahman music . I mean that all their shots were perfect , lifted straight from the text books , no erota in their technique could be spotted & it made ponting have a chaneg in his plans . After getting rid of both of them , at one stage SA neede 80 runs from 10 overs , and finally it was the Chennai Super Kings All rounder ALbie Morkel's stupendous & random & powerful hitting that had brought clebration mood to the SA dressing room and a graveyard silence to Punter's men's dressing room , he was given the man of the match award for his quickfire 18 ball 40 .
Thus , SA again made it clear to the cricketing world that AUS can no more take up the cricketing reign .
